Terms of service
These are the rules for using Visually.so. They are written to be read once, not deciphered. By using the site you agree to them.
Last updated: 20 October 2026
What you are agreeing to
Visually.so (visually.so) provides visual lessons: an animated explanation of a topic, a step-by-step summary, extra facts, and a timed quiz. Using the site — with or without an account — means you accept these terms and our privacy policy. If you are using an account, you must be 13 or older, or have a parent or guardian set it up for you.
Your account
- Give us a real email address and keep your password to yourself.
- One person per account — don't share logins across a whole class or company.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account, so tell us quickly if you think someone else got in.
- Don't use the site for anything unlawful, and don't try to break, scrape or bypass it.
What it costs
- Learner membership: $4.99 a month, with a free trial day that starts when you sign up. Cancel any time; access runs to the end of the period you paid for.
- Lesson downloads: $1.99 per lesson, for anyone, member or not. You keep the file.
- Creator lessons: $4.99 per finished lesson. One credit makes one lesson; if a lesson fails to generate, the credit goes back to you automatically.
- Free examples: a handful of lessons are open to everyone without signing up, and they may change over time.
Prices can change, but we will tell you before a change touches what you are already paying for. Card checkout is being switched on now, so a few of these purchases may show as "coming soon" in the meantime.
What you own
The lessons you create with your own description and your own logo are yours. You give us permission to store, display and serve them so the site can work — for you, and for anyone you choose to publish them to.
- You confirm you have the right to anything you upload, including your logo and any names, data or images you ask us to include.
- You keep your own branding: no watermark on your downloads, and your logo wherever you set it.
- We pay creators nothing and take nothing from them: creators pay the platform fee for each lesson they make, and that is the whole relationship. There is no revenue share, no royalty and no payout.
- We don't claim ownership of your topic, your data or your logo.
Publishing and moderation
Lessons are private by default — only you can see them. If you send one to the public library, a moderator checks it first and can approve it, ask for changes, or refuse it without a refund of your creation credit. Once a lesson is public, others can read, download and quiz on it. You can withdraw a published lesson at any time from your creations; we can also remove anything that breaks these rules.
Please don't
- Publish anything that infringes someone else's work, or that is hateful, dangerous, harassing or deliberately false.
- Ask us to make a lesson that gives medical, legal, financial or engineering instructions as if it were professional advice.
- Resell our lessons as your own service, or scrape the library in bulk.
- Interfere with the quiz, download or payment checks, or use automated tools to flood the site.
- Use another person's logo or name to make something look official.
If you break these, we can warn you, take the lesson down, or close the account.
Lessons are for learning, not for acting on
Lessons are written to help you understand how something works. They are general information, not professional advice, and they can contain mistakes. Always check anything important — a repair, a medical question, a money decision, a school or work assessment — against a proper source before you act on it. Quiz scores are a self-check for you, not a certificate or an official grade.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the site running, but lessons, subjects and features come and go, and the site can be down for maintenance or reasons outside our control. We will try to give notice of changes that affect paying members.
Closing your account
You can stop using the site at any time and ask us to delete your account through the Support page. Anything you already downloaded stays yours. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
The legal part, kept short
The service is provided "as is", and we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or free of every error. Where the law allows, our responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the last three months, and we are not responsible for indirect losses such as lost time or lost profit. Nothing here limits rights you cannot give up, such as the legal guarantees you have as a consumer.
These terms are governed by the laws of the place Visually.so is operated from, and any dispute will be handled in its courts — though we would much rather you message us first and we sort it out.
Changes to these terms
We will post updates on this page with a new date, and tell you in the app if something important changes. Keep using the site after that and the new terms apply.
